How to Upgrade Your Planet in Mine a Planet (Roblox)

Upgrading your planet in Mine a Planet is a loop, not a button: docks park the drones that make cash, rolls and drone levels multiply that cash, four plot upgrades keep it flowing, and the Planet Upgrade sign converts it into a bigger planet with a new theme. This walkthrough reads one 19-minute session frame by frame — the free first dock, the $7,000 and $250,000 signs, the Ice Age planet, the $5,000,000,000 wall — and stops where the video stops: at the foot of a $100,000,000,000 sign on the planet the narrator calls Magma, with a part two promised for the actual max level.

   Unlock your first dock — the game gives you one free

   Mine a Planet opens on a pebble-sized planet and a single instruction: "Unlock a Dock — FREE!" (read at 0:52). A dock is a landing pad, each one hosts one drone, so early docks are early income. The narrator then reads the next two pads as $100 and $155 around 1:00 — narrated figures, not sign reads. Docks also cap out: by 14:50 his Dock Platforms board line reads MAX (3).

   Place a drone, collect its cubes, and keep paying for levels

   The HUD prompt at 1:10 says it in one line: "Place your Drone & Upgrade it." Placed drones fly to the planet, mine cubes onto the dock, and you tap Collect to bank them. Levels are the cheapest multiplier in the clip: the same Divine drone whose card read "Lv 1 — $289,633/unit" at 17:20 read "Lv 19 — $5,884,453/unit" five seconds later at 17:25, after a burst of level purchases. That per-unit figure is the game's own readout on the drone card.

   Roll the green button for drones with better rarity

   At 1:30 the tutorial prompt is "Roll for a new Drone" and the camera sits on a green drum with an "E Roll Drone" prompt — this is the gacha. Results announce name, rarity and odds on the sign beside the drum, e.g. "Splashy Sam — Common [1 in 3]" in the same frame, and "Cubert — Rare — $15,000" at 8:20. A board above the drone-pack shop reads the odds ladder at 12:40: Epic 52%, Legendary 30%, Mythic 15%, Divine 2.5%, and a fifth rarity at 0.5% whose name is not legible in this clip. Unwanted drones can be discarded — the narrator throws one away around 7:10.

   Feed the four plot upgrades before you touch the planet sign

   The board at 2:20 lines up all four categories with their next step and price: Dock Platforms 1 > 2 for $1,000, Dock Storage 12 > 24 for $120, Cargo 2 > 3 for $500, and Mining Speed 3x > 3.5x for $400. The narrator names the same four at 2:02 — mining speed, cargo, dock platforms, storage — as what keeps money moving between planet upgrades. The same lines scale all the way up: by 14:50 Dock Platforms reads MAX (3), and at 18:48 Mining Speed is priced at $2,350,728,000. In this very frame the "Expand your Planet" tutorial banner already points past the board at the Planet Upgrade sign (Ore Value x1 > x2).

   Read the sign: $7,000 for Ore Value x3 > x4

   At 9:00 the Planet Upgrade sign reads "Ore Value x3 > x4 — $7,000" with $35,348 in the cash counter. Seven seconds later, at 9:06, the counter shows $28,348 — exactly $7,000 lighter — and the same sign now reads "x4 > x5 — $250,000". That seven-second window is the clearest before-and-after in the clip: the payment is instant and the sign immediately quotes the next tier. Prices are specific to your current tier, so the number on your own sign is the only one that matters for your next step.

   Pay, and the theme flips: the Candy planet

   The same 9:06 frame shows what a bought tier looks like: the planet behind the sign is now a pink-and-white striped ball — what the narrator calls "a candy candy planet" around 8:50. Its price pill reads $250,000 for Ore Value x4 > x5, with the final digits hidden under a pickup sparkle; the narrator names the figure at 9:09. Themes are stages on one progression, not separate planets — every theme documented so far is catalogued on the planets page. Selling cubes at the shop stall is the loop that funds the next pill.

   Ice Age: the full-screen payoff of the next payment

   At 12:45 the camera holds on the reward: a snow-capped blue planet with green lasers already mining it. The narrator calls it "the ice age planet" and jokes that Santa lives up there (12:17-12:45), then reads the next price as $10,000,000 shortly after — a narrated figure, not a sign read, and the planets page labels it exactly that way. This is also the video's cleanest look at how much screen one planet takes: it is not a backdrop, it is the mine your drones work in.

   Claim Playtime Rewards — the timers pay in the hundreds of millions

   At 14:57 the Playtime Rewards panel is open: the first tile already collected, the second marked "READY! Common Alien Ball x3", and later tiles promising up to $1,278,304,706 at the 1:24:34 mark, alternating cash bundles with named drones (Smiley Riley Epic, Captain Cosmo Legendary, Gilded Gordon Mythic, Honkenstein Mythic, Cipher Cy Secret). The second tile is collected on camera four seconds later. A teammate says her sixth claim paid $3,000,000,000 (14:50) — narrated, not shown. The narrator also mentions a paid skip for two hours of playtime at 18:26; this page neither prices nor recommends it.

   The wall: $5,000,000,000 for Ore Value x6 > x7

   At 16:15 his own sign reads "Ore Value x6 > x7 — $5,000,000,000", while the cash counter holds $1,559,753,410 — under a third of the price. Minutes earlier he had asked Isabella what her upgrade cost and she answered "$5 billion" (9:13); here the same figure sits on his sign. The gap closes with the Divine drone two steps below: by the next sign read at 18:48 the counter shows $53,761,520,135 and the sign has moved on to x7 > x8, so the $5,000,000,000 payment happened between the two reads.

    Closing the gap: rarity times level

    The earner that pays for the $5,000,000,000 pill is a drone: "Aquanaut AI", tagged Divine, placed at Lv 1 earning "$289,633/unit" (17:20), then leveled in one sitting — the frame at 17:25 shows "Lv 19" and "$5,884,453/unit", with a resale value of $73,089,675 on the same card. Isabella's advice at 9:44 is the same loop: "the rarer the drones and the higher level the drones, the more they mine." Nothing in the clip shows rolls or levels reaching a cap.

    Where the video stops: $100,000,000,000 for x7 > x8

    At 18:48 the sign reads "Ore Value x7 > x8 — $100,000,000,000", beside a Mining Speed line priced at $2,350,728,000, with $53,761,520,135 in the counter. On voice the players cannot agree on the number — "is that a hundred billion dollars?... It's either 100 billion or 100 trillion" (18:26) — but the frame settles it: twelve digits, $100 billion. This is the last Planet Upgrade price this footage shows clearly, and it is where this page's ladder ends.

    Magma — and the honest boundary of this guide

    The closing seconds (18:56) show a glowing lava planet hanging directly behind the plot while the narrator signs off: "All I know is I've reached the magma planet" — and then asks for "a part two of this video where I literally reach the max level planet." So the video's title oversells: no max level appears anywhere in these 19 minutes. Everything above is the roadmap this footage actually covers, from a free dock to the foot of a $100,000,000,000 sign. What sits past x8 stays unknown until that part two, and this page will not pre-write it.
