How to Get Gems in Mine a Planet — Ores, Gems & Cash Explained
How gems work in Mine a Planet: official earning methods, documented value, and why gem-hack links are scams. No invented mechanics.

Are there gems in Mine a Planet?
Yes — but not the way most searches assume. The official game description says you "collect ores and gems" as you mine your voxel planet layer by layer: gems in this game are high-value mining drops, not a separate premium currency. Everything documented in creator footage so far — Gear Shop CPU chips, pet upgrades, fleet upgrades — is priced in cash, and no gem wallet or gem shop has appeared on screen. If you searched for a gems currency to buy or hack, that mechanic simply does not exist in anything the developer has published. Value comes from which ore you dig and how you convert it to cash; the Gear Shop chips often mistaken for a gem shop are on the mutations page.
- Official description: you "collect ores and gems" while mining — gems are drops, not a wallet (source: Roblox game description)
- The documented ore ladder runs from Azurite at the surface to Aurum deep down, with tiers beyond teased officially
- Every price seen in footage is in cash — CPU chips (dated readings on the mutations page), pet upgrades ($3.25T at level 36)
- No working code has ever granted gems — current codes give batteries, time skips, alien treats, and drone packs
Why everybody searches for gem codes
The confusion is not the searcher's fault. Gems are a premium currency in dozens of Roblox mining and simulator games, usually bought with Robux and spent on eggs, crates or instant upgrades, so arriving at a game called Mine a Planet and hunting for the gem shop is a reasonable habit. This game does not work that way. Its store description lists gems alongside ores as things you collect while digging, and every price that has ever appeared on screen is denominated in cash: Gear Shop CPU chips (the dated readings are listed on the mutations page), a level 36 pet upgrade at $3.25 trillion, a $250,000 planet evolution sign. Search results fill the gap anyway, because "free gems" is typed far more often than it is checked. Inventing a gem shop costs the author nothing and earns clicks; the cost lands on the player spending an hour looking for a button that was never in the game.
- Gems as a Robux-bought currency is a genre convention, not a Mine a Planet mechanic
- The official description groups gems with ores as mining drops
- Every observed price in this game is in cash, never gems
- No code has ever rewarded gems — current rewards are batteries, time skips, alien treats and drone packs
- "Free gems" pages rank because the phrase is searched, not because the feature exists
Every documented way to earn value
| Method | What you get | Data basis |
|---|---|---|
| Mine deeper ore layers | Higher-value ores and gems, from Azurite down to Aurum and beyond | Official game description |
| Redeem working codes | Strong Batteries, time skips, Super Alien Treats, Drone Packs — no gem rewards to date | Reported by gaming outlets, tracked on our codes page |
| Deploy and level pets | Dock platform earnings multiplier (13.57x seen at level 36) plus a global skill | Observed in creator footage |
| Fill the mutation index | Permanent +25% cash milestone | Observed in creator footage |
| Planet evolution | Evolves your planet toward richer worlds with better ore | Official game description |
Check for a gem currency yourself, in about a minute
- 1Load the game and look at the top of your screen. Roblox games put their currency counters in the HUD, and this one shows cash with nothing beside it.
- 2Open the Gear Shop and read the price tags. CPU chips are marked in cash, starting at 500 for a Clean chip.
- 3Open a pet upgrade and check the price format there too. Late-level pet upgrades run into the trillions and are still cash.
- 4Walk to a planet evolution sign and read the number printed on it. Same currency again.
- 5Open the codes menu and redeem everything on our codes page, then look at what actually arrives — Strong Batteries, a Time Skip, a Super Alien Treat, a Drone Pack. No gems.
- 6You have now checked every place a second currency would have to appear. If a site told you gems could be bought, spent or hacked, that site did not check.
What actually raises the value of what you dig up
Since gems are drops rather than a wallet, the useful question is not how to farm gems but how to raise the value of everything your fleet pulls up. Two mechanics do that, and both are structural, so we can describe them without inventing numbers. Depth is the first: the planet is mined in layers and deeper ore sells for more, which is why a small fleet working a deep face can out-earn a bigger fleet skimming the surface. Planet evolution is the second, and it is the only documented way to change which ore bands exist for you at all — the official wording is that evolution unlocks rarer ore and bigger worlds. Footage also shows evolution resetting depth progress, so it trades short-term output for a higher ceiling. Neither has published values behind it. Our ores page covers what is actually known about the ore ladder, and the money page covers which of your income levers is worth spending on next.
- Deeper layers carry more valuable drops — depth beats raw block-breaking speed
- Planet evolution unlocks rarer ore and bigger worlds, per the official description
- Evolution resets depth progress in observed footage — a prestige trade, not a free gain
- A drone with a full cargo hold earns nothing, however valuable the ore under it is
- No sell value has ever been published for any ore or gem — read yours in game
How to reach high-value ores faster
- 1Redeem every working code first — free Strong Batteries and time skips accelerate early digging (see our codes page)
- 2Spend cash on Mining Power upgrades so your drones break deeper layers sooner
- 3Keep Cargo and Speed in step with Mining Power — idle income depends on full mining cycles, not just dig strength
- 4Deploy your best pet on your busiest dock platform for the earnings multiplier
- 5Push planet evolution when the cost is within reach — richer worlds carry better ore
